Larry Grantham D.V.M. is a graduate of Texas A&M University, class of 1981. He started his practice at our original location on Seguin Street in New Braunfels, Texas in June of 1988. Through family, friends and word of mouth, we quickly outgrew the small facility and moved to our current location on Common Street in December of 2002. Dr. Grantham and his wife Phyllis have three children, one granddaughter, 2 dogs and a cat who keep them busy.

Bjorn Doody D.V.M. (yes, Doody like "Howdy Doody") joined our practice in 2008 and became a partner in the practice in 2013. He attended Texas A&M for both undergrad and veterinary studies and graduated in 2002. Dr. Doody is our in-house ultrasound specialist. His main hobby lately is helping his wife Devin (a New Braunfels native) with their 4 yr old son and daughter, along with keeping his 2 dogs out of mischief.
Carol Pearson D.V.M. has been with NBVC since 1994. She received her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M, then completed her education at Ross University, located in the West Indies. When not giving her whole heart to care for your pets, Dr. Pearson is a serious football fanatic and is an enthusiastic supporter of her two children's sports and school activities. She is a devoted member of the DRT and along with her husband Bob, teaches Sunday school at her family church in Seguin.
Meet Our Office
Staff

Karen, Office Manager, is our go-to person for everything, she is the official mom for all of us and our clients! She's particularly fond of helping several of our elderly pet owners by picking up and delivering pets and supplies and is so well known that her husband won't go to HEB with her because she is frequently stopped to chat or give pet advice. She has worked for NBVC since 1989 when it was just her and Dr. Grantham handling all the duties of the clinic. When not running our clinic she is busy with her three children & husband Mark (whom she met when she first started working at a vet clinic in her hometown). Her favorite hobbies are going to see movies and hunting for jewelry bargains.

Lauren, our IT Manager first began working for NBVC in June of 2000 at our old facility on Seguin Street. She came back to the clinic in 2009 and has been with us since . Lauren settled down in New Braunfels with her husband and they have two children in addition to their various pets. Lauren loves camping in their vintage camper and driving her husband crazy with their next Pinterest project.

Whitney is our Head Receptionist and began working for NBVC in 2019. Whitney is an Army Veteran who shares 4 children with her husband, a retired Air Force Veteran. During college football season you can find her wearing Ohio red in support of her beloved Buckeyes. When not hanging out with her children or wrangling her dogs and cats you can find her at the gun range, honing her skills with perfectly manicured hands.

She loves to go bowling, enjoys riding horses, hunting and is a devoted follower of her two nephews' sports activities. In addition to her dog, she also has a barn full of cats and raises cattle.
John Allred D.V.M. is a relief veterinarian for our practice. He started practicing in 1977 after graduating from Texas A&M and owned a mixed animal practice in Marshall, Texas and spent his free time coaching his children's swim team. After retiring, he and his wife moved to New Braunfels. When not at the clinic he can be found hanging out with his truckload of grandchildren on his small cattle ranch outside of town.
