Diagnostics

In-house diagnostics to better serve your pet in their time of need:
 

  • Comprehensive Diagnostic Panel: Evaluates your pets liver and kidney function as well as blood glucose and electrolytes.

  • Prep Profile: A less extensive version of the comprehensive diagnostic which is a good option for pre-surgical screening.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC): Evaluates white and red blood cell counts as well as platelets.


 

Digital Radiographic & Ultrasound Services:

 

We offer a variety in house digital radiographic services ranging from diagnostics, OFA hip screenings to pregnancy x-rays.  From diagnosing  fractures to obstructions, our doctors have the tools on hand to help your furry family member.   

An ultrasound can prove to be a great asset when it comes to diagnosing your pet.  Dr.Bjorn Doody offers many years of ultrasound experience to our library of knowledge.  When additional imaging is required we utilize the mobile services of Sonovet, a mobile ultrasound specialist.

We also offer a variety of in-house tests for specific diseases in both dogs and cats:
 

  • Heartworm Testing: This tests for heartworms that are transmitted by mosquitos, mainly a concern for canines

  • Thyroid Testing: a condition affecting both canines and felines

  • Hemobart Smear: Performed on felines to check for Hemobart, a disease transmitted by fleas

  • Feleuk/FIV Test: This is a test for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids

  • Parvo Test: Checks for the Parvo Virus, most commonly found affecting puppies


Multiple out-of house diagnostic services are also available, should the event arise
that your  pet should need additional care.
